No PSD at hand? Open a sample:

Samples are layered PSDs built from our own AI-generated examples (Seedream 5.0 Pro Layerize).

Need real layers?

A viewer reads layers. AI can create them.

This viewer shows the layers someone already built in Photoshop. If all you have is a flat PNG or JPG, AI layer splitting can separate it into named layers and give you a PSD to open here or anywhere else.

How it works

How to open a PSD file online

The viewer reads the file with an open-source PSD reader that runs in your browser tab. Nothing is installed and nothing is sent anywhere.

  1. Open your PSD

Drop a .psd or .psb file on the viewer, click to choose one, or open a sample. Files up to 300 MB open right in your browser.

  2. Explore the layers

The layers panel lists every layer and group from top to bottom with its name and thumbnail. Click an eye to hide or show a layer, and zoom in to check details.

  3. Export what you need

Download the image as PNG or JPG, the selected layer as a transparent PNG, or every layer at once in a ZIP.

Why use it

A PSD viewer that works without Photoshop

Handy when a client sends a PSD, when you are on a computer without Adobe apps, or when you only need one layer out of a file.

  • Layer by layer

Hide or show any layer or group and the preview updates at once. Layer masks, clipping masks, opacity and most blend modes are applied.

  • The real composite

Until you change anything, you see the composite Photoshop saved in the file, effects included. Files saved without one are rebuilt from their layers.

  • Export PNG, JPG or ZIP

Save the image as PNG or JPG, any single layer as a transparent PNG, or all layers in one ZIP: full canvas so they line up, or trimmed.

  • Private

The file is read on your device. It is not uploaded, stored or shared, so confidential work stays confidential.

FAQ

PSD viewer: common questions

Drop it on the viewer above. Your browser reads the file and shows the image and its layers, with no Photoshop, plugin or account needed. To edit the file, open it in Photopea, GIMP, Affinity Photo or Krita.

No. The viewer runs entirely in your browser. The file is read from your device and never sent to a server.

Until you change something, the viewer shows the composite Photoshop saved in the file. Once you toggle a layer, the preview is rebuilt from the layer pixels, and that rebuild cannot draw layer effects such as drop shadows or strokes, adjustment layers or smart filters. Reset the visibility to see the saved composite again.

RGB, grayscale, indexed and bitmap PSD and PSB (Large Document Format) files at 8 or 16 bits per channel, up to 300 MB and about 100 megapixels (16-bit files are shown at 8 bits). 32-bit, CMYK and Lab files cannot be opened yet: in Photoshop, convert a copy to RGB at 8 bits per channel and open that.

Yes. Select the layer in the panel and choose the layer export. “Full canvas” keeps its position on a transparent canvas the size of the document; “Trimmed” crops it to its own pixels.

No. This is a viewer: text layers are shown as Photoshop rendered them and nothing in the file can be changed. Open the PSD in an editor to change it.

Yes, for small and medium files. Phones have less memory than computers, so very large PSDs may not open there; a desktop browser handles them better.

Yes, with no account, no credits and no limit on how many files you open. It never uses an AI model; the AI layer splitter on this site is a separate, paid tool.

Only have a flat image?

The AI layer splitter turns a single PNG or JPG into named layers you can open in this viewer, in Photoshop or anywhere else.
